Super Tuscan

Discover the diversity of Super Tuscan wines. Super Tuscan is a term used to describe high quality red Tuscan wines which are made entirely or partly from non-native grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Syrah.  It has been used since early 1970s - and the first wines to break the mould were Sassicaia and Tignanello - but today many producers across the region are creating blends from non-indigenous grapes and producing a wide variety of styles within Tuscany from coastal Bolgheri to southern Maremma. Sample 12 Super Tuscans at this tasting which will highlight the most innovative wines of Italy with Rose Murray Brown MW as your guide.
