Sample lesser known grape varieties often native to their countries - including whites Harslevelu, Furmint, Feteasca Alba, Malvazija, Viorica, Olaszrizling and reds Blaufrankisch, Feteasca Neagra, Plavac Mali, Melnik, Odessa Black and Kadarka. A selection of artisan cheeses and biscuits will also be served alongside the wines. No knowledge required - just a love of wine and adventure. The tasting will include 13 wines from Alto Piedmont (Gattinara, Ghemme, Sizzano) and Piedmont's Langhe, Roero and Montferrato. A selection of artisan cheeses will be served alongside the wines. Olivier Humbrecht MW was France's very first Master of Wine - and one of few French winemakers to still hold this title. He runs his 40 hectare family domaine, Domaine Zind Humbrecht, in Alsace in eastern France. The Humbrecht family have been winegrowers here since 1620, but the domaine was founded by his father in 1959. Olivier is a leading advocate of organic and biodynamic viticulture and has raised the quality of his domaine's wines beyond expectation. Olivier produces sensational textured flavourful wines from low yielding vines, focusing with incredible attention to detail in vineyard and cellar.
