Burgundy's southerly regions of Maconnais & Cote Chalonnaise are now a dynamic part of this famous region - with an influx of knowledgeable Burgundy investors and a new generation of growers intent on making complex wines.  If you love drinking cool climate Chardonnay, Aligote and Pinot Noir - these are two areas to explore in depth. In this tasting you will discover the wealth of exciting wines in Bouzeron, Rully, Montagny, Mercurey and Givry in Chalonnaise - and in Vire Clesse, Saint-Veran, Pouilly Vinzelles, Pouilly Loche, Pouilly Fuisse - and in the 27 communes of Macon allowed to use their name on the label. Sample 13 wines (whites and reds) presented by Master of Wine Rose Murray Brown.
