Cabernet Franc around the World Masterclass: SOLD OUT!
Cabernet Franc around the World Masterclass: SOLD OUT!
The Cabernet Franc grape is now coming into its own. In the past it has been used primarily in blends and as a 'filler', but now winegrowers worldwide have realised that this varietal's wonderful fragrance and freshness can produce sensationally good varietal wines. Join us to sample 13 Cabernet Francs from across the world - from Loire in France - to Hungary, Italy, New York State, South Africa, Argentina, California and beyond. This grape is great at adapting to different climates and soils - and different winemaking styles. It can also deliver great flavour at moderate alcohol levels. Australia Masterclass: Focus on Barossa Valley: SOLD OUT!
Australia Masterclass: Focus on Barossa Valley: SOLD OUT!
Barossa - which encompasses both Barossa and Eden Valleys - is one of Australia's most historic regions with plenty of old vine vineyard sites and more than 175 years of grape growing and winemaking history. It is also home to Australia's largest plantings of old ungrafted vines. Whilst Eden is well known for its Riesling and Viognier and Barossa is known for its Shiraz and Grenache - there is a wealth of other grape varieties to explore in Barossa. For whites, Semillon, Grenache Gris, Roussanne to Clairette - and Cinsault, Mourvedre, Nero d'Avola, Touriga Nacional and Cabernet Sauvignon for reds. Sample 13 wines from this famous region selected by Rose from leading Barossa producers. The wines will be accompanied by a selection of artisan cheeses. No prior knowledge required - just a love of Australian wine.
