Greece has been undergoing a wine renaissance.  It has the longest wine tradition in Europe – and in this new modern era its focus on quality is producing very interesting complex wines from a new generation of artisan wineries.

The tasting will focus on 13 wines – including their fabulous minerally whites and juicy reds.  Greece is a challenging country to understand with its diverse mountainous wine regions, islands and host of indigenous grapes.  This evening’s deep dive into all things Greek will explain its complex geology and microclimates within its wine regions and diverse islands (from Santorini to Crete) and its amazing treasure trove of local grapes.

Discover the taste of Assyrtiko, Moschofilero and Malagousia whites – and Xinomavro, Agriogitiko and Mandilaria reds – and more.

A selection of fine cheeses will also be served alongside the wines.

The tasting is held in the comfortable surroundings of the Function Room of Hams Hame, St Andrews.

No prior knowledge required – just a love of wine!

An ideal gift for the adventurous wine lover or for anyone who has visited Greece.
